My upload does not finish
Check that each file is within the 45 MB limit and that your internet connection is working. Keep the browser tab open while the upload is in progress.
If the upload reports an error, note the message before retrying. Try sending one small file to check whether the problem affects every upload or only a particular file. Wait for QickShare to confirm the share is ready before giving the recipient its code.
The receiving device cannot open my code
Compare all six digits with the code shown on the sending device. Check that the receiving device has a working internet connection.
A share expires 10 minutes after it is created. If it has expired, the sender needs to upload the files again and provide the new code. Retrying the old code will not extend its expiry.
If you see a different error, such as a device-access restriction, keep the exact message and ask the sender to check the share's access settings.
A downloaded file will not open
Check that the download has finished and that you have an application that supports the file type. For example, a PDF needs a PDF viewer, while a document may need a compatible document editor.
Compare the filename with the file the sender intended to share. If the problem continues, ask the sender to open the original file on their device. If the original opens correctly, try downloading again while the share is available or ask for a new share.
I wanted photos, but received a PDF
QickShare offers two separate options. Upload Files sends photos in their original format. Convert Image to PDF combines selected photos into one PDF.
To receive separate photos, ask the sender to share the original images using Upload Files. When preparing a PDF for printing, open the finished PDF and check its page order, orientation and readability before printing.
What to include when contacting support
Tell us whether the problem happened while uploading, entering a code, downloading or converting images. Include your device, browser, approximate time of the problem and the exact error message.
For upload problems, include the file type and approximate size. Describe the steps that caused the problem so we can try to reproduce it. Keep sharing codes and private file contents out of your report.
